About the Author
For the last 25 years Allen M. Hornblum has served on numerous criminal justice organizations and has also served as the Chief of Staff of Philadelphia's Sheriff's Office. He currently teaches courses in urban studies, criminal justice and political science at Temple University. He is interviewed frequently by the media on various subjects pertaining to prison reform.
