Power SAS: A Survival Guide, 9781430251583 (1430251581), Apress, 2013
SAS INSTITUTE IS THE WORLD'S largest privately owned software company. With more than 38,000 customers, including 90 percent in the Fortune 500, and annual revenues exceeding $1 billion, SAS Institute has achieved unprecedented success and is driven to become even bigger and better. SAS software provides an extensive array of programming and analytical tools and is used by organizations to access large volumes of data, perform analytical modeling, develop business intelligence, implement Web delivery, and investigate other analytical areas to better und erstand customers, clients, and users. Although the SAS software has been designed to be easy to use, the sheer number of tools and features offered in the Base SAS product alone can become daunting, to say the least. As a result, this book is intended to be useful to SAS users everywhere.

Power SAS is intended to make it easier for SAS users to take full advantage of the many tools and features found in the base-product. I've organized this book to help readers learn something useful about many of SAS Institute's software tools and features in 60 seconds or less. The tips are based on years of experience using SAS software and are tried and proven for accurate results.

While I assume readers have some general familiarity with computers, I don't assume any knowledge of SAS software to get started with this book. As with any book of this type, code examples are an important element ofbetter learning, and this book is filled with step-bystep examples, code examples, as weIl as tips. By covering the most widely used SAS software tools and features, I am confident that users will have a better and more rewarding programming experience using the SAS software.
