Wayne Palaia (Northfield,NJ) has worked for the Federal Aviation Administration as a computer scientist for nearly 13 years developing and maintaining software systems and specializing in air traffic radar operations. Wayne designed the integration and deployment of more than 250 microcomputers to various radar sites in remote locations, as well as the logistics support program. He has used Microsoft Office for nearly ten years to develop and maintain detailed technical documentation (user guides, handbooks, and developer documentation), SQL client/server information systems using Microsoft Access and Oracle.

He also maintains a 60+ node LAN and intranet and is currently developing an electronic book (HTML/Help system) titled "Radar Analysis for Beginners" as well as application context-sensitive help systems.

Christina Palaia (Steamboat Springs, CO) has been a technical editor of computer-related books for 8 years. She edits and develops certification exam manuscripts as well as general trade books and college textbooks on a variety of topics, including information technology and computer science. Christina has contributed to several Facts on File publications and developed a user manual for a customized software application for a national nonprofit organization.
