Organizations are focusing more on measurable results and improved productivity. This book provides an introduction to Human Performance Improvement, Human Performance Technology, and Performance Consulting so you can start applying them to your work.
Performance Basics is designed to give readers an introduction to Human Performance Improvement (HPI), which is a methodology that provides its practitioners with a logical framework to analyze and diagnose workplace performance problems before offering specific problem-solving interventions. While dozens of high-level books have been written about HPI, Performance Basics is directly targeted to those with little background in the subject. It does not offer complicated theories, models, or historical background but sticks to the information you absolutely need to know to be successful. Like all the books in the Training Basics series, Performance Basics offers practical examples, worksheets, checklists, and other tools along with a set of icons that make it easy to apply important tips, notes, and exercises offered throughout the book.
