RICHARD ROMANO is managing editor of Micro Publishing News, a newsmonthly in the Cygnus Graphics Network that provides industry news, product information, and hardware and software news and reviews for content creators, electronic designers, and print buyers. Romano writes news items and features on new technologies and coordinates and writes hardware and software reviews for such graphics-related products as digital cameras, scanners, printers, large-format output devices, and a wide variety of graphics software— including InDesign. From 1997 to 1999, Romano was also a product reviewer and coordinator for Digital Imaging, a then-sister publication of Micro Publishing News. He is the author of Digital Photography Pocket Primer: Capturing and Optimizing Images for Print- and Web-based Publishing, published in June 2000 by Windsor Publishing, and is the editor-in-chief of The GATF Encyclopedia of Graphic Communications, published in 1998 by The Graphic Arts Technical Foundation, as well as the Yearbook 2000 supplement. Romano is a graduate of Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications and has a certificate in multimedia technology from New York University. Originally from New York City, he now lives in Los Angeles. |
