Synthesizable VHDL Design for FPGAs, 9783319025469 (3319025465), Springer, 2013

The methodology described in this book is the result of many years of research experience in the field of synthesizable VHDL design targeting FPGA based platforms. VHDL was first conceived as a documentation language for ASIC designs. Afterwards, the language was used for the behavioral simulation of ASICs, and also as a design input for synthesis tools. VHDL is a rich language, but just a small subset of it can be used to write synthesizable code, from which a physical circuit can be obtained. Usually VHDL books describe both, synthesis and simulation aspects of the language, but in this book the reader is conducted just through the features acceptable by synthesis tools. The book introduces the subjects in a gradual and concise way, providing just enough information for the reader to develop their synthesizable digital systems in VHDL. The examples in the book were planned targeting an FPGA platform widely used around the world.

What made you write the book? In November 2006 I started working on an index for editors of Wikipedia – a single page that had links to all relevant policies, guidelines, how-to pages, reference pages, tools, and other things that an editor might conceivably want to read. The more I worked on the index, the...
A Logical Approach to Discrete Math (Monographs in Computer Science)
A Logical Approach to Discrete Math (Monographs in Computer Science)

This text attempts to change the way we teach logic to beginning students. Instead of teaching logic as a subject in isolation, we regard it as a basic tool and show how to use it. We strive to give students a skill in the propositional and predicate calculi and then to exercise that skill thoroughly in applications that arise in computer...

Seamless Object-Oriented Software Architecture: Analysis and Design of Reliable Systems
Seamless Object-Oriented Software Architecture: Analysis and Design of Reliable Systems
In the past few years, object-oriented techniques have finally made the passage
from the programming-in-the-small island to the mainland of programming-inthe-
large. Accompanying this transition has been a change in the role and
perception of software methods: in addition to their well-established use in the
earliest stages of a

Encyclopedia of the Solar System, Second Edition
Encyclopedia of the Solar System, Second Edition
Long before Galileo published his discoveries about Jupiter, lunar craters, and the Milky Way in the Starry Messenger in 1610, people were fascinated with the planets and stars around them. That interest continues today, and scientists are making new discoveries at an astounding rate. Ancient lake beds on Mars, robotic spacecraft missions, and...

The Tibetan Book of the Dead: Or The After-Death Experiences on the Bardo Plane
"Dr. Evans-Wentz, who literally sat at the feet of a Tibetan lama for years in order to acquire his wisdom...not only displays a deeply sympathetic interest in those esoteric doctrines so characteristic of the genius of the East, but likewise possesses the rare faculty of making them more or less intelligible to the layman."--Anthropology...
Android Application Development For Dummies
Android Application Development For Dummies

Welcome to Android Application Development For Dummies, the first For Dummies book that covers Android application development. When I was contacted to write this book, I was ecstatic about the opportunity to spread the wealth of knowledge that I’d picked up over the past year and a half of Android development. I hope you enjoy...
