Testing Embedded Software, 9780321159861 (0321159861), Addison Wesley, 2002
The embedded systems world is a fast growing industry. It is a world which is historically
dominated by engineers and technicians who excel in their own
technical specialism. Historically, the technicians who built the products were
also those who performed the testing because they understood best how things
were supposed to work. This worked fine in orderly situations where the technicians
worked on relatively small and isolated products. However, the embedded
industry is changing fast – systems have become larger, more complex, and more
integrated. Software now makes up the larger part of the system, often replacing
hardware. Systems that used to work in isolation are linked to provide integrated
functionality. This cannot be produced by one brilliant individual anymore, but
has to be an organized team effort. Similarly, the process of testing has become
larger, more complex, and harder to control. It has led to a growing need for a
method that helps get the complex testing process under control.

6: Protein Misfolding, Aggregation and Conformational Diseases: Part B: Molecular Mechanisms of Conformational Diseases (Protein Reviews)

The second volume continues to fill the gap in protein review and protocol literature. It does this while summarizing recent achievements in the understanding of the relationships between protein misfoldings, aggregation, and development of protein deposition disorders. The focus of Part B is the molecular basis of differential disorders.

Discrete Control Systems
Discrete Control Systems

Discrete Control Systems establishes a basis for the analysis and design of discretized/quantized control systems for continuous physical systems. Beginning with the necessary mathematical foundations and system-model descriptions, the text moves on to derive a robust stability condition. To keep a practical perspective on the uncertain...

Hacking VoIP: Protocols, Attacks, and Countermeasures
Hacking VoIP: Protocols, Attacks, and Countermeasures

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) networks have freed users from the tyranny of big telecom, allowing people to make phone calls over the Internet at very low or no cost. But while VoIP is easy and cheap, it's notoriously lacking in security. With minimal effort, hackers can eavesdrop on conversations, disrupt phone calls, change caller IDs,...

Kidney Failure Explained (Class Health)
Kidney Failure Explained (Class Health)
This is a book about kidney failure. It has been written primarily for people with kidney failure. But, as any partner, friend or family member of a kidney patient knows, kidney failure is a family business. ‘They’ also usually want to know as much as possible (sometimes even more than the patient) about the...
